Venn Diagrams

Here are some photographs from yesterday’s Science lesson, where the children were sorting animals into Herbivores, Omnivores and Carnivores.  This also linked nicely with the Maths lessons on data, where the children have also been sorting various objects into Venn diagrams.

Smoothies

Here are some photographs from today’s D & T lesson making smoothies.  The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, as you can see.  The children completed a booklet investigating different fruit and vegetable combinations to use in their smoothies, then wrote out their recipes, made their smoothies and evaluated them.

There was a mixed reaction as to the tastes of both the finished product and other ingredients, such as yogurt and honey.

Smoothies

Just to let you know that next week we are making Smoothies with the children and have no record in school of any special dietary requirements for the children.  This is a D & T food project, that also links in nicely with our Science topic this term – Animals including humans and what it good nutrition for us both.  I will pop some photographs onto the Blog next week, so you can see the children enjoying their delicious creations.
